Faith
Faith is not the absence of doubt or the achievement of certainty. At its core it's trust — a decision to lean your weight on God rather than on your own limited understanding of things. That's harder than it sounds, because our own understanding feels so reliable from the inside. It sees a slice of the situation and presents it as the whole truth. Faith doesn't ask you to stop thinking; it asks you to stop treating your own vantage point as the final word, and to trust the character of the One who sees what you can't. The verses gathered here approach faith from different angles: a love that moves toward you first, before you've earned anything; a call to trust God with your whole heart in the daily turns as well as the big decisions; a confidence that God is weaving even hard things into a purpose you can't yet trace. If your faith feels small or shaky right now, that's alright — the Bible repeatedly honors small, honest faith over confident performance. Start where you are. Trust, like a muscle, grows by being used.
